
The Ashraya Hastha Trust grant supported AquaSafi to set up 15 low-cost high quality RO automated water plants in fluoride affected villages of Chikkaballapur district in Karnataka to solve the problem of unavailability of safe drinking water. Local government interface, securing water and electricity connections for the stores, infrastructure development, and WASH committee formations were part of the work. Behavioural change communication tools were extensively utilised to develop awareness about safe and unsafe water.
