The grant supported the establishment of a separate block for biotechnology education in the Government Science College, Bengaluru. The building housed all facilities needed including modern dry and wet labs, classrooms, seminar halls and staff rooms among others. This was a first of its kind initiative in public private partnership for encouraging education in emerging technologies.
