With the grant from Ashraya Hastha Trust, NIMHANS, Bengaluru and Government of Karnataka (Department of Health & Family Welfare) along with AIIMS, Rishikesh, aims to implement taluka mental health services in Belur, Karnataka and Munsiyari, Uttarakhand.
NAMAN (NIMHANS-AHT Comprehensive Mental Health Action Program for Rural Communities) is a step towards bridging the gap in availability and accessibility of mental health facilities in the rural communities of two distinct talukas. This model is likely to be replicated for implementation across the rest of the country.
