Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement (SYVM) is a development organisation engaged in building a new civil society in India through its grassroots to policy action across health, education, and community development. Their approach has resulted in positive economic consequences in the lives of vulnerable tribal, rural, and other marginalised communities.
How we support them
The grant from Ashraya Hastha Trust ensures better maternal health for tribal communities in Mysore, Kodagu, Chamarajnagar through the implementation of the Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCH+A) approach.

The approach has multiple benefits:

1
Promote health of the mother along with safe reproductive practices to reduce high-risk pregnancies resulting in zero maternal deaths
2
Enhance service coverage, accessibility, and its utilisation of hospitals
3
Promote community participation and strengthen intersectoral coordination
